Delegate Authority

About Manager Delegation

  • This job aid explains how you can delegate your access to another manager in your absence.
  • Example: The delegate approves time-off requests while the regular manager is on PTO.

To Delegate Your Access:

 

  1. In the My Notifications tile, which is located on the Home Page, click Tasks. The Control Center will open.
  2. In the Control Center, click My Actions. Select Business Processes > Manager Delegation.
  3. In the Delegate dropdown menu, select the person who will take authority during your absence.
  4. Use the calendar icons  to select the Start Date and End Date. The dates are in the time zone of the requester.
  5. The Role Profile will default to 00-MGR-DIRECT and does not need to be adjusted.
  6. Click Submit.

Accept a Delegation Request and Complete Tasks for the Other Manager

 

  1. In the My Notifications tile, which is located on the Home Page, click Tasks. The Control Center will open.
  2. In the Manager Delegation form, click Accept and select Submit.

 

 

 

  1. After signing out and signing back in, click the Main Menu  .
  2. To the right of your name, click the arrow , then use the scroll bar to locate Delegated Roles.
  3. Select the name of the manager on whose behalf you would like to act.

















Manager Delegation panel shows how to accept delegation. The People icon in the Main Menu shows how to switch to the delegated role.

To Cancel Your Delegation:

 

  1. In the My Notifications tile, click Tasks. The Control Center will open.
  2. Select the delegation process you wish to cancel.
  3. Click Cancel Delegation.
