Time Off Requests

Learn how to submit and delete time-off requests in GTS.

Select each of the tabs to learn more about submitting and deleting time-off requests.

Submit a Time-off Request

To request time off:

  1. Login to Global Time System (GTS).
  2. From the Time Off tile, select Time-Off Request.
  3. Select the Type of Time Off, then click Apply.

  1. From the calendar, select the date or date range that the time off should be applied, then click Apply.

  1. Enter the Start Time of your requested time off.
  • Start Time: This field indicates the time that the time-off request should start. In this example, this employee would like their Planned PTO to start at 9:00 a.m.
  1. Enter the number of hours you are requesting off in the Duration field.
  • Duration: This field indicates the amount of time you would like to use per day. In this example, this employee would like to take 8 hours of Planned PTO per day.
  1. Select Submit.

How to Delete Time Off Requests in the Current Pay Period

This job aid outlines the process for removing time off requests.

Part A - You will need to perform the following steps:

  1. From the My Schedule tile (on the Homepage), select the date range listed underneath My Schedule.
  2. On the upper right-hand side, select the Requests tab.
  3. Find the request and select the More  option.
  4. Click Cancel Request.

Part B - As your manager to complete the following steps:

  1. From the Manage Schedule tile (on the Homepage), select Full Schedule.
  2. On the upper right-hand side, click the calendar icon, click Select Range.
  3. Enter in the applicable Start and End date of the employee’s time off request and select Apply.
  4. Right click on the pay code located in the Schedule (the pay code will display Cancel Submitted in red) and select Approve.
  5. The purple punch has been removed from the hourly employee’s timecard.
